This Privacy Statement is used by the holding company Koninklijke Smilde BV, Smilde Bakery BV, Smilde Foods BV, and all affiliated brands, labels, and legal entities, hereinafter referred to as Smilde.

Through Smilde’s websites, privacy-sensitive data is processed. This data is referred to as personal data. We consider the careful handling of personal data to be of great importance. Personal data is therefore processed and secured with due care. Our employees and third parties engaged by us are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data. Smilde periodically sends newsletters that you may subscribe to voluntarily. These newsletters inform you about our products and activities. Every newsletter contains a link at the bottom allowing you to unsubscribe from future newsletters directly.

We use the American company Mailchimp as our email marketing software. Mailchimp stores interaction data to personalize newsletter content. Mailchimp may provide this information to third parties if legally required to do so. We have no influence over this. Information is transferred to Mailchimp servers in the United States and stored for an indefinite period.

Mailchimp participates in the EU-US Privacy Shield framework and commits to complying with its principles. This means that an adequate level of protection is provided for the processing of personal data.

Google Analytics

Our website uses cookies placed by the American company Google. Through Google Tag Manager, we use Google Analytics to monitor visitor behaviour and obtain reports on website usage, helping us improve our website and services.
